Our Projects – Let Girls Learn Initiative
Let Girls Learn Initiative direct service provision and advocacy focuses on emergency psychosocial support, pro bono legal aid against SGBV, forums with school girls on SRHR and SGBV, and community dialogues on sexual and reproductive health rights.
The COVID-19 pandemic magnified inequalities and school closures especially harmed rural and peri-urban girls’ education and mental health. Many pregnant girls and teenage mothers in Kisumu could not return to school in 2021.

- Establishment of Raising a Feminist Generation (RFG) clubs in schools and communities for SRHR education and income-generating activities (soap making, beads, sewing)

Let Girls Learn Initiative & SHE SOARS Alignment
Let Girls Learn Initiative seeks to leverage strategic communications and girl-led interventions to expand access to Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), safe abortion services, and SRHR information in rural Kisumu — exactly in line with SHE SOARS goals.
We strengthen adolescent girls’ collective voice, economic independence through education and IGAs, and fight sexual violence and harmful practices.
